Asia Lighting Compact (Thailand)

An organization from Asia-Pacific Partnership on Clean Development and Climate (APP), USAID, and the Government of Australia, has now agreed to form the Asia Lighting Compact (ALC), an independent, non-profit organization, which will be officially launched in Hong Kong in October 2009. This is a program to encourage people to use low energy lightbulbs called CFL (compact fluorescent lamps). Our concept is to illustrate the joining of hands as a symbol of collaboration between all sides, forming a CFL graphic in the middle. The plant at the top represents the 'green' message in using low-energy CFL.
